Purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Lead to join our team in Hungary. This role requires proven experience in collecting and analyzing business requirements (preferably related to software development and marketing, growth processes) for providing and continuously updating numerous diverse and accurate reports and analytics.

We are looking for someone with solid analytical skills, who can also efficiently handle the data visuals and dashboards. You will work with a large data lake (app. 2PB) and handling around 200 daily reports. You will work closely with our business leaders by supporting their everyday work and providing important insights for business decisions.

• Define and implement the company's BI strategy, aligning it with business objectives
• Leading BI projects by organizing the daily tasks of the BI team
• Mentor, and develop the BI team by identifying skill gaps, implementing training plans, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
• Contribute to the optimization of U.S. advertising traffic acquisition and enhance the effectiveness of U.S. colleagues’ work to improve the company’s P&L results
• Translate complex data into actionable insights, driving data-driven decision-making across departments
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing best practices in data governance and quality control
• Dynamically optimize BI reports, processes, and technology to keep pace with evolving business requirements

Must have skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in working in data domain on data and analytical projects
• Team leader and/or project manager experience
• Eyes for details, strong analytical skills
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL
• Proficiency in database optimization
• Familiarity with data visualization systems
• Experience with Google Analytics, and Tag Manager
• Data management skills, ETL
• Ability to adapt changes easily
• Ability to translate data into clear yet informative dashboards

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Agile development approach
• Experience with issue tracking softwares (preferably Jira)
• Experience in A/B testing
• Experience with cloud services is a plus
• R or Python knowledge is a big advantage
• Software development experience
• Knowledge of AWS Redshift is also big advantage
• Knowledge of Spark, Parquet, and other columnar data structures is an advantage
