Purpose of the role:

Overseeing the financial operations of a U.S. company with $20 million in annual revenue, working under the supervision of the CFO based in Budapest, Hungary. External specialists provide direct support for specific taxation and payroll matters.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, issue and manage monthly outgoing invoices
• Manage vendor bills, prepare outgoing payments, match outgoing payments with open items
• Cooperate with external and internal partners in finance matters and assist in AP/AR matters, like collections
• Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts
• Prepare and maintain recurring and ad-hoc financial reports, support the company’s board with financial data
• Maintain bank account records, prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Tag and monitor the few fixed assets, post monthly amortization and depreciation

Requirements:

• Excellent command of English, Hungarian is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Detail oriented, precise approach
• Effective time management and flexibility
• Specialization in accounting and/or finance is a must, ACCA or equivalent qualification is a strong plus
• Experience in working with Intuit QuickBooks and Bill.com as well as Google Sheets
